Why Tilecraft

A better way to tile a bathroom.

Every tile is measured and cut to fit in our workshop before it reaches your room. That one change is behind everything below.

01

Health and safety

Traditional

Tiles are cut on site with grinders and wet saws. Cutting tile makes fine silica dust, noise and slurry, in your home and around your family.

Tilecraft

Every tile arrives already cut. No tile cutting in your home, no cutting dust in the air and no slurry down your drains.

02

Time

Traditional

The tiler measures, marks and cuts each tile as they go, so much of the time on site is spent cutting rather than laying.

Tilecraft

Tiles arrive cut, numbered and packed by wall. Your tiler lays instead of cuts, and your bathroom is finished in about half the time.

03

Cost

Traditional

You pay for the tiler's cutting time, the tile, the extra tile to cover cuts and breakages, and the extras on top.

Tilecraft

One price per m², worked out from your plans. Around 25% less than tiling the traditional way, with the comparison on our home page.

04

Waste

Traditional

Extra tile is ordered to cover cuts and breakages, and whatever is left over is usually thrown out.

Tilecraft

Every cut is planned before the first tile is cut, so you buy the tile your room needs and nothing more.

05

Rubbish disposal

Traditional

Offcuts, broken tile and packaging pile up on site and need a skip or trips to the tip.

Tilecraft

Offcuts stay in our workshop. Tiles arrive packed by wall, ready to lay, with no pile of broken tile to get rid of.

06

Price certainty

Traditional

Quotes are estimates, and cutting problems on the day can add cost.

Tilecraft

Your price is fixed per m² and confirmed when we measure the room, before anything is cut.
